Panasonic Alkaline Water Filter

This is not an ad. I am not eligible for any ad yet. :)
Recently I've been searching for Panasonic Alkaline water purifier and I found that in Malaysia, there are only 3 models. I realize that most of the electrical shops in Malaysia does not carry this item and all the salesman giving you negative statement and advise you not to buy. One of the salesman even say that it is not good for pregnant lady and children to drink alkaline water. Ok, I do not wish to debate anymore about this, this is my health and this is my money. I can do or buy whatever I want.

Back to my research. I've been eyeing for these two item.

TK-AS40 RM1500 from mudah.com

TK-7585 RM 3200 from mudah.com

For me, the BIG BIG main different between these two is TK-AS40 water purification removes 5 substances while TK-7585 removes 13 substances. It means TK-7585 water is more cleaner than TK-AS40 and the price is double.

Unjustified, I google and search for Panasonic Japan website (http://ctlg.panasonic.com/jp/alkaline/alkaline/lineup.html)  and look up all the models. Their choices is more and after careful study, I decided to buy from Japan. I'm in Japan just a month ago. :(  :(
So it means I need to use a middle party that helps me ships from Japan to Malaysia. I will update it later on my next blog because I am still waiting for my items to reach Malaysia.

Let me shed some light here, you can actually use the cartridge of the TK-7585 on the AS40 in order to enjoy filtration of 13 substances. It's compatible. If you read the user manual for AS40, there is a page that actually mentioned about the replacement cartridge for both the AS40 (white version) & AS41 (silver version). The AS41 silver model uses the same cartridge for TK-7585. AS40 & AS41 shared the same body chassis. But AS41 is not available in our market.

So the main difference between AS40 and TK7585 is not so much on the filtration capability as you can always apply the same cartridge for AS40. The cartridge price is different by RM100.

The main difference are:

1) With 5 electrodes in the TK7585 the electrolysis is more efficient and gives a more stable PH level for particular preset alkaline level.

2) There is a PH level Fine-tuning buttons on the TK7585, with this button u can adjust/fine-tune the preset PH level in each Button, so that the processed water PH wouldn't be too high. Your area's tap water might have a higher ph, so with these buttons u can do fine-tuning accordingly, so that Level 1 button would really be a ph8.5.

3. There few more features found in the TK7585 such as Timer button.

TK7585 is the real deal.

Please be advise that it's better to install a 5 micron and above filter before the Panasonic Alkaline to prolong the expensive filter lifetime but not to exceed 2 years.
