www.tenso.com

If you read my preview post, I've been eyeing for Panasonic alkaline water filter. After much research, I decided to buy Panasonic Water Filter TK-7208P from Japan.

Most of Japan online selling website does not ship internationally. There's a few service provider that acts like a middlemen. They give you an address in Japan and you can buy from whatever website you want and ship it to their warehouse. From there, they will help you to consolidate your package and send it to your doorstep. Or you can tell them what you want and they will help you to buy and send it to your doorstep. Of course, you need to pay some fees for their service.

One of the service provider I am using now is www.tenso.com. This is my first time using it and I would like to share my experience to you.

First of all, you need to register at www.tenso.com to become their member. It is free registration. Once you register, they will send you confirmation email with Japan address in it. You need to use that address for your online shopping in Japan website.

After that, I register myself in Rakuten. I key in my shipping address as what www.tenso.com provide for me in my mail. If you do not wish to register, you can shop as a guest.

From here, I select which one I want to buy and of course I select the cheapest price. You can use google translate to translate all the description into English for you.

I checkout I make payment. Everything details and progress, rakuten will send you email to update you. Once it reach tenso warehouse, tenso will send you email and you need to make payment

Tenso Japan

This is my first time to use Tenso Japan http://www.tenso.com/en/ . It is free registration and very easy to use when you buy things from Japan that does not ship internationally.

I registered mine and from my last post, I actually decided to buy Panasonic Alkaline water filter from Japan. First you need to register with Tenso first. Once you complete your registration, they will give you an address in Japan.

Address in Japan
After you have your address, you can start shopping at any Japan website. I'm using Google translator to translate from Japanese language to English.

Once you finish shopping, key in the local Japan address provided by Tenso and make payment after that. Most of the website accept international credit card. Once they receive your payment, they will deliver your items within 2 days.

When buying online in Japan, they will update everything to you via email. Tenso will email to you once they received your package. Tenso will calculate the total weight and you need to make the final payment before they deliver to your address.

And one week later, my package arrived and was being held by Custom Malaysia. I was given 3 options:
a) I appoint Pos Malaysia as custom agent
b) Self clearance of items from custom
c) Appoint other agent / representation as my custom agent

If I appoint Pos Laju, I need to pay RM49.80 for them as service fees and if my items are being taxed, I need to pay the remaining balance when I collect my item. So I decided to do a self clearance. Because this is not my first time to do self clearance.

I'm not going to elaborate on the custom thing. Just go to Pos Malaysia hub at Terminal LCCT and remember to bring your identity card and driving license. My items value are RM 1500 not being taxed (i'm not going to mention why). I just need to pay RM18 processing fees.

My item

If you buy any electronic item in Japan, please remember that their voltage is different in Malaysia. Japan electricity voltage is 100v while Malaysia is 220v-240v. You need to get a transformer in order to use your electrical item.

Step-down transformer

I'm very happy and satisfied with my Panasonic Alkaline water filter TK-7208P. And I'm still buying from Tenso Japan but not being tax for few times. Happy Shopping everyone!!!!

Signature by The Hill @ The Roof

Last week,my friend ask me to come over to Signature at The Roof at 1 First Avenue. Our plan is to have some light dinner and red wine. There's a lot of blogger review but most of it is crap because it is an invitation for them with free food and drinks in exchange to write good review for them. That's why I started to hate over-rated commercial blogger that writes how nice a taste bad food is.

When we first reach, my friend ask for sky-juice while looking at the food and drink menu. The waitress give us a black face stating that they do not serve sky-juice, only serve mineral water from the bottle and it cost RM 6 if not mistaken. Then we say ok, nevermind. In my mind, I thought if I order red-wine and need to pay for the sky juice, it will cost us a bomb!  After that I tell my friend we order red wine first and if they still do not serve sky juice, then we change to another place.

Smoked duck with Peach

Escargot RM 28++

Sang Har Mien RM 45++

Red Wine RM 120++

The food here is averaged but over-priced.

3 ladies and we finish our 2nd bottle of red wine. Still deciding whether want to order the 3rd bottle, my friend suggest if they free some food for us then we will order the 3rd bottle. The manager, a UK guy named Sean say that if we order the 3rd bottle, he will free chicken wings and fries for us. And so we proceed to order the 3rd bottle and the bill came. We paid the bill and we finish the 3rd bottle but the food never came. The staff keep say they don't know where is their manager!! Angrily, my friend left a note to the manager and left.

The next day, my friend receive a sms from the manager apologize and ask us to come again and he will free a bottle of red wine, chicken wings and fries for us. My friend ask me to go there again, at first I hesitate saying that he won't free and even free 1 bottles, in the end we will open more bottles and spend more money but my friend say never try never know.

There we are, the same 3 ladies and of course when we walk in we never demand for the free bottle. We order a bottle of red wine and ask the staff to ask his manager to come over. We finish our first bottle of red wine and the manager never came to our place. Even when he pass by our table, he dare not even look at us. Nevermind, we open the 2nd bottle of red wine again and ask the staff to ask Sean manager to come over. And yes, he did came and say hi and state that he's very busy. And not even 1 minute, he's gone. We know he's trying to avoid us and maybe that's the way he do business or The Signature way.

Overall, that's my experience and of course I won't go inside this restaurant anymore. Over-priced and service is bad. A place to cater Caucasian and not Asian. WIP in Bangsar is a lot more better than here.

Panasonic Alkaline Water Filter

This is not an ad. I am not eligible for any ad yet. :)
Recently I've been searching for Panasonic Alkaline water purifier and I found that in Malaysia, there are only 3 models. I realize that most of the electrical shops in Malaysia does not carry this item and all the salesman giving you negative statement and advise you not to buy. One of the salesman even say that it is not good for pregnant lady and children to drink alkaline water. Ok, I do not wish to debate anymore about this, this is my health and this is my money. I can do or buy whatever I want.

Back to my research. I've been eyeing for these two item.

TK-AS40 RM1500 from mudah.com

TK-7585 RM 3200 from mudah.com

For me, the BIG BIG main different between these two is TK-AS40 water purification removes 5 substances while TK-7585 removes 13 substances. It means TK-7585 water is more cleaner than TK-AS40 and the price is double.

Unjustified, I google and search for Panasonic Japan website (http://ctlg.panasonic.com/jp/alkaline/alkaline/lineup.html)  and look up all the models. Their choices is more and after careful study, I decided to buy from Japan. I'm in Japan just a month ago. :(  :(
So it means I need to use a middle party that helps me ships from Japan to Malaysia. I will update it later on my next blog because I am still waiting for my items to reach Malaysia.
